Blessing Bags Info
The SPECIAL OFFERING for March & April will be for Blessing Bags, as intriduced to us by Deacon Jean.
The Sunday School willpack these in May for use in the Food Pantry and wherever needed.

Here is the list of items to donate:
Water bottle
Granola bar
Pair of socks
Sanitary napkins for women
Razor/shaving cream for men
Baby wipes
Small pack of tissues

Remember, everything should be able to fit in a clear gallon size ziploc bag.

We will also include a small crocheted prayer heart in every bag; here is the pattern

Crochet Heart Pattern
Hook:  J, #10, 6 mm
Yarn:  Bernat Baby Coordinates, Baby Pink or any #3 weight yarn
Start: Chain 4, sl to make a ring.
Round 1: Chain 2, Working over yarn end, 15 dc into ring, sl st into top of first dc.
Round 2: Chain 2, 1 dc into same stitch, 4 trc into next stitch, 2 dc into next stitch, 1 hdc into each of next four stitches.
Now we are at the point at the bottom of the heart:
1 dc, 1 trc, 1 dc into next stitch.
Going up the other side:
1 hdc into each of next four stitches, 2 dc into next stitch, 4 trc into next stitch, 1 dc into next stitch, chain 2, sl st into same stitch.
Leaving 6”-8”, fasten off.  Thread yarn into yarn needle.  Weave yarn through heart to middle opening.  Weave yarn through opening, closing hole.  Fasten off in center of heart.
